What is it like to live in Idlewyld?

Idlewyld is a 1920s Fort Lauderdale neighborhood just south of East Las Olas Boulevard, on the west side of the Intracoastal. Most homes on Idlewyld Drive and the majority on Poinciana Drive are on the water; the rest are interior dry lots. Public records show about 124 parcels, nearly all single-family homes. From the Intracoastal, boats heading south to Port Everglades pass one opening bridge, at SE 17th Street.
